Scotland.
Scotland has a way of capturing your heart the moment you arrive. Wide, sweeping vistas and ever‑changing skies make every outing an adventure, whether you’re exploring remote islands or wandering through peaceful glens. Out in the fresh air, surrounded by the sounds and smells of the wild, photography becomes a calming escape — a chance to pause, observe, and appreciate the beauty that unfolds in front of the lens. From red deer on the hills to seabirds soaring over dramatic cliffs, each encounter is a reminder of why I return to Scotland again and again.
This June, I had the privilege of visiting the Scottish Photography Hides, owned and operated by renowned Wildlife Photographer Alan MacFadyen.
